Beyond Foundations
Different types of investors are addressing the opportunity targeted investing, and ESG analysis, can bring to their investment practice. There is potential for meaningful collaboration that makes achieving scale possible. Leveraging foundation assets with other institutional capital can significantly transform underserved areas and achieve scale with multiple sources of capital.
The Campaign seeks to collaborate with other institutional investors that can include public sector pension funds, faith-based organizations, university endowments, high net-worth investors, banks, and insurance companies. Groups that examine pension funds, faith-based organizations, and university endowments include:
Council of Institutional Investors
The Council of Institutional Investors is a nonprofit association of public, union and corporate pension funds with combined assets that exceed $3 trillion. Since it’s founding in 1985, the Council has strived to educate its members and the public about good corporate governance, shareowner rights and related investment issues, and to advocate on their members' behalf.
Interfaith Center for Corporate Responsibility
Since it’s beginning in 1971, ICCR has raised the voice of faith to change the way companies conduct themselves as good corporate citizens. ICCR promotes transformation in corporate policies and practices, driven by changes in how companies relate to investors, stakeholders and the global community.
Tri-State Coalition for Responsible Investment
The TRI-State Coalition for Responsible Investment (CRI) is an alliance of Roman Catholic institutional investors located throughout the New York metropolitan area. As the largest regional member of the Interfaith Center for Corporate Responsibility (ICCR), the TRI-State Coalition for Responsible Investment has been successfully working for 30 years with partners who include denominations, rabbinical pension funds, foundations, and public and private pension funds on various campaigns to bring justice to the world and all her inhabitants.
