Campaign Resource Center
The More for Mission Campaign Resource Center (CRC) was established at the Boston College Institute for Responsible Investment (IRI) in September 2008. As of February 2010 More for Mission is now housed at the Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Harvard University. The CRC connects explicitly with the IRI’s mission to promote long-term, values-driven wealth creation through the discipline of responsible investment.
More for Mission was built in 2008 with the financial support of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the F.B. Heron Foundation, and the Meyer Memorial Trust. As of Spring 2010, the More for Mission Funders Circle has expanded to include the following foundations: the Cleveland Foundation, the Jessie Smith Noyes Foundation, the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Additional funding for the Initiative for Responsible Investment to carry out this work comes from the Brooks Family Foundation.
We also depend on the advice of the Leaders Circle, a group of foundations actively engaged in mission investing, and willing to support others interested in joining the field.
The More for Mission Campaign Resource Center reaches out to targeted foundations—potential adopters of mission investing practices. It is an educational center and has a proactive leaders circle of foundations engaged in a wide range of mission investing. The goal of the Campaign Resource Center is to catalyze foundations into mission investing and offer access to research on the field, implementation tools, and links to potential investment opportunities. We are here to answer questions, provide support, and engage the field.
