Members Circle
There are 33 organizations that make up the Members Circle, as of April 2011. Foundations in the Members Circle believe in leveraging their endowment and programmatic assets to achieve their program and mission goals. These organizations may be just starting the practice with, for example, a below-market program-related investment (PRI) or guarantee. Foundations in the Members Circle believe in maximizing their capacity to achieve programmatic and mission objectives. The Members Circle also includes mission-driven foundation investors outside of the United States, with 2 foundation members based in the UK.
More for Mission has calculated that the foundation assets of both its Leaders Circle and Members Circle represent approximately $39 billion in total assets. This figure was last updated on July 21, 2011. Data for this calculation comes primarily from the Foundation Center, if available, or a foundation's annual report. Individual foundation asset totals are culled from the most recent available financial reports, most of which end in 2009.
