More for Mission Fall 2009 Survey Results
A new survey conducted by More for Mission of 39 foundations in its network helps to quantify the amount of assets respondents have in mission-related investments and demonstrates that this practice is expected to continue to increase. According to the survey’s findings, at the end of 2008, mission investments as a percentage of total assets equaled nearly 5%. When projecting anticipated mission investments for 2009, the percentage of assets rose to nearly 7%. The results signal respondents’ expectation that they will continue to increase their commitment to this emerging practice.
The Evolution of Responsible Investment Consultanting (pdf) - This paper is a summary of the Responsible Investment Consultants meeting of 35 investment consultants, asset managers and other stakeholders from across the country that gathered at Boston College to discuss the state of responsible investing consulting and the potential for the emergence of responsible investment as an investment consulting discipline. It is a discussion of the topics covered during the day as well as challenges and ideas for moving the field forward.
