The Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation commissioned Community Development Financial Institutions: A Study on Growth and Sustainability to increase their understanding of challenges CDFIs face at different points in their development. Bethany Chaney, the author, synthesized recent reports from the CDFI industry and interviewed 13 seasoned CDFI leaders in the Southeast to gather their wisdom.
